Question Electronic case file vs. Hard Copy case file

Just spoke with the parole board office and was told that my husband's file was "electronic case" vs. hard copy case...anyone care to hit me with some knowledge on this?

It is paper documents in his file that are carted around in boxes versus electronic versions of the same documents that are stored on disk that do not have to be trucked all over Texas. They started a number of years back doing case files electronically as opposed to just paper.

I'm assuming by the slothfulness of everything else in TDC that having an "electronic case file" doesn't help speed up the parole process......

I think you are safe to assume that.

I think that the only time an electronic file "MAY" speed things up is in the situation of an inmate transfer. The paper file will not have to be forwarded in that situation because the new unit can access the file electronically. That doesn't mean that they will work any faster, though!!

Xzactly my insight on this whole process as well. My hubbys file is supposedly sitting in a mail room in huntsville to be mailed out since 12.3. What is up with these people?

Oh, you did NOT admit to snorting out loud. LOL! I am happy, however, if I caused you a moment of levity. My wife would be proud of me.

Oh, just to be clear, Robin worries about me because she is the only one that sees the humorous side of me. I am so austere and maybe even threatening to those around me but when it is she and I together I am completely different. For me to have provided some moment of levity for someone else would, to her, be letting someone else see a bit of what she sees in me. Of course, I have no idea what that might be.
