My son is at Western Youth in Morganton NC. He just heard they were closing. Anyone know anything about where he will go?

Thanks

1st - Welcome to PTO

2nd - The closing is ONLY part of the Governor's Budget PROPOSAL - nothing is in concrete.
He proposes his budget.
The General Assembly (GA) proposes their budget.
It gets hashed and hacked for awhile.
Then the GA presents a budget to the Governor.
If the Governor signs it - that's it, it goes into effect.
If he doesn't sign it it goes back and forth until until the GA presents one that he will sign.
If the closings are still there - THEN it will be in concrete.
I remember one year the budget didn't get signed until October.

Here is a list of prisons that have closed over the years:

If and When it happens be assured the Inmates will not be left behind when the electricity goes out. There will still be 61 other prisons they could be sent to.

3rd - Again, Welcome to PTO!
