Default State-specific job aid for released federal inmates

I wasn't really sure how to word the title of my post, but I'm wondering if state-specific programs for assistance in getting a job are also available to released federal inmates? For example, I live in Mass and there are quite a few programs designed to aid released inmates find jobs in various "felon-friendly" job fields. What I don't know is if those programs are available to both state and federal inmates or if they only help Mass residents released from state DOC prisons.

I hope that makes sense. I know I could contact them and will once he is closer to putting in his HWH info later this year, but I was just wondering in general if anyone had experience with these types of programs in their own states.

I would contact your state employment office, they would have the answers to your questions. especially state/fed questions. I believe if they are programs for to newly released felons, it wouldn't matter if its fed or state. Unless its the federal or state that's running said programs then they might be more specific.

contact the individual programs. MA is pretty good about helping recently released felons find jobs, housing and the like. I have no idea whether or not they apply to federal inmates, but you can always call, or email, and ask the specific question. Be sure to state whether or not the prospective client will be on parole or not, and whether or not there were state charges/sentence as well.

I might check with the county offices.
EDD etc.
Housing will probably be one of the more difficult things to get if you know no one in that city.
Also the parole/probation dept might have some suggestions as well.
