Default Did you wear a white dress to your prison wedding?

If so where did you get it and what did it look like? Pics?

If not what did you wear? I'm so lost about what I want to wear.

Most prisons do not allow white, and usually same restrictions apply to wedding that are for visiting. Sorry never got married in prison when I got married the first time it was a huge church wedding with all the frills. Second time it was court house in jeans and a cute top him in jeans and polo shirt. LOL

There’s a section on PTO specifically for prison weddings. Lots of pictures! Good luck.

Yellow. Bright, sunny, retro-styled shirt dress. Navy shoes and jewelry to match his uniform.

No. I didn't even wear a dress. Colorado prisons don't let you do weddings. We used Colorado's self solemnization option (meaning we didn't need an officiant or witness) and had to do it in the visiting room during normal visiting hours. His mother and one CO who was our friend were our witnesses.

I wore a white peasant blouse with red poppies all over it, and a pair of skinny jeans (my waist is thick and my thighs are thin, so skinny jeans fit like regular fit on me) tucked into my knee high boots.

Thanks ladies and I'll look on the thread to see if I can find pictures! thankfully his prison allows white and honestly I didn't want to wear a dress but he wants me to. I know my dress can't be short, show clevage and has to have sleeves which eliminates a lot of options if I'm picking a actual wedding dress. Our wedding is in May so I can't do long sleeves either :/

Look at http://www.jjshouse.com they have a lot of dresses that fit the parameters. They're inexpensive for wedding dresses too. I got mine custom made and shipped for $218 and I'm not an easy fit. I provided extra measurements for them to use. They even raised the neckline for me. The quality is excellent.

Also many of their bridesmaids dresses also come in white.

It's waiting in my closet for when we can live togwther- we are legally married but we are having a small wedding before he moves in.

As another commenter said, Colorado doesn’t allow prison weddings. We chose not to have any witnesses. So it was just me and him. We technically got married while playing battle ship. It was awesome haha. We plan on doing the whole shibang later in the life when all of this is behind us! I wore light blue jeans and a long sleeve gray shirt with a nice blue sweater. Why? Didn’t I dress up more you ask? Because it was a plane ride, a five hour drive, and 20 degree weather lmao.

Mine was not white but it was a light gray color and really pretty. I actually got it from Macy’s in their fancy dress section (you know where they have stuff for prom and all). So it wasn’t too expensive and I got it tailored to just reach my feet because I’m short and it was way too long. It had short sleeves. That might be something for you to look into!

I wore a white pantsuit with a colored shirt underneath the jacket. The only reason why I didn't wear a dress because he wouldn't have anything to complement that so I didn't want to make him uncomfortable so I opted to wear a white pantsuit.

Our wedding was in May also. It was memorial day weekend.

I’m guessing there are website for women who practice modest dress for religious purposes. I bet they have some pretty dresses that would pass the test. Google “modest formals” or “modest dresses”.
