Default No visits Friday, Statewide Lockdown- Updated- lockdown no longer affects all

Due to the incident in Tehachapi, visits have been cancelled for Fri. 4/4. They have not yet made a decision regarding the rest of the weekend. All CA prisons have been placed on a cautionary lockdown.

Yes, that is correct and if you don't receive any phone calls today it's because of the incident that occurred at Tehachapi. Apparently 2 Sgt.'s and 2 CO were attacked by 2 Southern Hispanic inmates. The two sergeants and one CO were stabbed several times in the face and neck and the other CO injured her knee. Both sergeants and the one CO were sent to the hospital. Also, one of the inmates involved in the attack was injured and had to be airlifted to the hospital.

The information regarding visiting is on the 800 visiting hotline. Since it has not been decided if visiting will be open this weekend, it is a good idea to call before you leave your house. The number is 1-800-374-8474, once the recording starts press the numbers 1, 3, 1.

My prayers go out to the officers that were injured.

Ok folks,
I just called the visiting hotline. It states that for Sat and Sun NO Southern hispanics or their cell mates will be allowed to visit. It also states there will be delays in processing while they determine who is who. Just be patient with the process.
I hope this helps.
God bless

Southern hispanics and their cellmates will not be allowed to visit this weekend. This is for all California prisions, including CMC West. If your loved one is NOT a southern hispanic he will be allowed to visit

Southern Hispanics are not allowed to visit this weekend but Northern Hispanics can. Also, if your loved one is not a Southern Hispanic but his celled up with a Southern Hispanic..then he also is prevented from visiting.

If none of the above applies, then you are all good to visit. So for example if your husband is African American and his cellie is African American, then you're fine to visit. But if your husband is African American and his cellie is Southern Hispanic then your husband will not be allowed to visit.

Hope this helps you understand it better.

As long as they are not Southern Hispanic then it is okay for them to visit.
