Default Medication Denial

It appears that the DOC is cutting out some needed medications in response to the huge cut in budget by our worthless Florida legislature. My loved one is experiencing this now and I have heard of others as well. I believe that the health of our loved ones is about to suffer greatly , as the DOC makes the cuts everywhere it can, in order to function with such a low budget. My representatives do not answer me when I contact them about this. Rick Scott is a lame duck on his way out, and he has never shown much interest for inmates anyway. The Miami Herald seems to have dropped the subject due to other state issues. We are left alone fighting for now. The terrible thing is that we fear retribution to our loved ones, should we complain. Please monitor this for your loved ones and do what you can to get our legislators to at least provide needed medications.

They cut back on medical years ago when they contracted it out!!! My husband died because of medical malpractice/neglect!!! They don't give a crap about prisoners. Blame your Governor.

That's just awful, I'm so sorry. I DO indeed blame the Governor and the Legislature too. Gov. Scott has never shown that he cares one bit for inmates, and now that he's leaving office, he really could care less. I don't see much improvement in the ones running now as his replacement.

Again, XOlady, I'm so sorry about your husband. You are showing love for his memory by helping us all and staying involved in the fight. Thanks for all you do. God bless...

Rick Scott does not care for anyone other than himself! He doesnt care about the inmates; he doesnt care about the guards; he just doesnt care! This system could be ran so much smother....but, here again, they do not care.
