I don't come around often, I just wanted to stop in and say hi. My brother has been out a little over a year now. After being the only one to stand by him for 30 years, he informed me he didn't "need" me any more. I'm still around the system some with "adopted " brothers. Miss you all.

Hey GrannyG! Sorry to hear that your brother thinks he doesn't need you anymore. That's not a good sign. That attitude may mean that he'll "need" you again in the future

Good for you for "adopting" brothers! I'm sure it's good for them too.

I fear Ginger might be correct on the not needing you thing.

I'm not sure how many old timer's are still around. Some folks still pop in once in a while, but the forums are more quiet than when I first registered.

I am thoroughly DONE with the wet and the cold and the snow and the cold and the more wet and cold! I can smell spring in the air like a whispered promise and keep waiting for the temps to warm up a bit more.

Anyone else, or is it just me?

I feel the same way, I am so tired of all this rain with no relief in site. I am happy the time changed so we have more daylight, so I can see the rain longer. lol But, I can see buds on the trees and little birds flying with twigs so SPRING IS HERE. I live alone and I am old winter is not my thing. Hugs to us both. ha ha

I am an old timer, I haven't popped in for awhile. You are right this thread used to be very active, don't know what happened. Hope you are doing well.

I'm doing well. Busy, but well. Heck, I haven't had surgery again since last September, so I'm considering that a win! But I go have my 1 year followup with my ear doc in April, so I may be jumping the gun on whether I have to have surgery again this year.

How the heck did it get to be April already? Wasn't Christmas just a couple of weeks ago? Wow!

You are so right, Christmas was just yesterday. Hope all is going well for you and everyone reading this. Still rainy but the sun does shine more now a days.
My daughter has been in prison 13 plus years, in the beginning I did not believe I could make it this long, But I have, only 16 months left till she gets out. Wow,
her kids have all grown up and the internet has been invented, it is a different world. God has been looking out for us and I am grateful.

Time does fly that is for sure. My daughter has been in prison 13 plus years. In the beginning I could not believe I could make it this long. BUT I DID!!! Only 16 months left. Her kids have all grown up,she is a grandma and the internet has been invented. The world is a different place, God has been watching over us and I am grateful. Just keep breathing and take one day at a time, that is all we can do. Hope everyone is well and stays well with sunshine on your shoulders.

Isn't it amazing how slow time seemed to go then suddenly we wake up one day and a whole bunch of years have flown by? The internet is still "new" in my mind, but when I think about it, it's really not new anymore.

My dad would have been at his 6 year point this year if he hadn't died of lung cancer. At first, it seemed like his sentence was an eternity!

Glad you're doing well and glad you'll get to see her outside the fence soon!

As for me, I am so very done with all the rain. This is officially the rainiest spring ever on record in the Portland area. What I would give for dry feet! And people make fun of us Pacific Northwesterners for wearing socks with sandals... how else are our feet ever going to dry out?!
