Default Parish jail (louisiana)

What is it like in a parish jail compared to a city jail. A parish is similar to a county btw in case you did not know.

I think they're similar. I am familiar with Louisiana parishes & also with Georgia county jails from my advocacy work. Many are county jails.I know Atlanta has a city jail but they are in the process of closing it & repurposing the building. The county jails are more the norm in Georgia & they are similar to parish jails.

I would have to say there are far fewer privileges in a city jail as compared to a parish jail. There is much less freedom and little to no exercise time. That's what I can think of off the top of my head. I moved your thread here to the Louisiana forum where you may get more answers. By the way, why that kind of question?
