This has been pushed back to a Thursday in December. We don't know if it's the 3rd, 10th, or 17th.

Incredibly frustrating. Hard to plan anything when I don't have a date to do it.

This has been rough. We were given the hope of spending Thanksgiving together as a family for the first time in 7 years. To have that taken away, felt like a knife to the chest. Twice. I have been frosty to everyone. You spend every waking moment being the strong one. Sometimes, you just want to stay down on one knee for a few minutes. It was even worse breaking the news to our daughter. We are beyond grateful we get years back, but it still is hard not knowing when.

Is it really admin mixups? Papers lost? Scheduling mishaps? Or do they do this shit to torture people?

Here's to hopefully having a release before Christmas.
You will have a fresh start at a whole year of holidays to spend together.

Visitor611, what's the news? Any word on release? At this point, I'd be afraid to leave my phone too far from my reach....I'd probably check it for missed calls knowing I hadn't missed one. Very nerve-wracking!

Still currently on hiatus. Its about as bad as it can get waiting for any news. Can't plan for anything. Theres some speculation they are waiting for some to get housing and they want to do this all at once. Super frustrating. Monday is hopeful to find something out.

We have specific times she calls. 6 am, 12 pm, 6 pm every day. I know if she calls outside these times, its something important. Every phone call I get, I think it might be her. Sometimes chow is late and it drifts past the 12 pm time, and I start to get anxious and easily convince myself this is the time the release councilor comes and COVID tests her. I have not seen her in 9 months in person. This is brutal. For 10 weeks, I've allowed my distant dreams to turn into reality, and just as we see the end to this f'ing nightmare, something pushes it back. Its hard for me to sleep, to eat, to think of anything else but trying to figure out how to work around my job, when to get clothes and a phone, making sure I get her favorite comfort foods, to cleaning the house way way too much. There are moments in every day, my anxiety is at 200%. The frustrating part, is that I can't do anything to help, except listen and be strong. I can't imagine what it's like to be the one inside. End the nightmare not for me, but a teenager daughter desperately wanting to have her family back together for the first time in 7 years.

I'm so sorry. Same boat. Was supposed to leave Monday for work release. Brought his packed bags down Friday 7 am. 1 pm was called to take them back. Stopped movement due to COVID. His son is devastated.
It truly screws with everyone's head. I pray you get solid answers this week. Some comfort that you know it is coming, but like everything we have no control....

Big deep breaths.
Please please DO take some time for yourselves and family to try to enjoy something. Maybe a drive around in the evening to look at Christmas lights. Sing really loud in the car.
Its super frustrating when you have kids and cant tell them exactly when things will happen. I cant even imagine how hard that is.
But please DO try to find some activity that isnt related to anything prison at all and try to enjoy it.
They cant keep them forever, right?

Let's restart the party boys and girls! Kites and a clever woman later, and December 17th is now the new confirmed date. LETS REWIND THIS AND START ANEW.
