Question What cell phones are accepted? And questions about rates

Hello guys, I was wondering what cell phones are accepted and I was also wondering if the calls to post-paid cell phones are more expensive than calls placed to landlines.

I am using landline with AT&T just basic phone for hubby's incoming call.....it cost me $26.64 per month....plus my monthly bill with Securus (direct bill account).....depends how often does your loved one call... at $0.28 cents per minute. With cell phone I can only tell you with T-Mobile it cost me $66.15 for a regular account not prepaid.......

Any cell service that is not prepaid, so basically T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon & Sprint. I believe, if I'm mistaken someone please correct me, the call cost per minute is the same whether it's a cell or landline.

In general I believe, if you shop around, you will find that a land line is less expensive then a cell. But you should consider the pros & cons of each. I have both set up to receive calls, my land line with Xfinity & cell with T-Mobile. Haven't had any problems with either & the bill {Securus} isn't as bad as I thought. He calls once a week & my bill is around $40. Now I put $50 on the account monthly.

Good luck...

I can't think of any other post paid cell providers though I'm sure they must exist. You are correct about the rates being the same regardless of cell phone or landline.

To the OP- My hubby calls 5 days a week on my cell. My monthly Securus bill is usually around 140.00-160.00 a month. It just depends on whether or not he makes any extra phone calls. Figure out how many you can afford per month and go from there. Good luck.

Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile (as long as you ask for a contract since they have options that don't require a contract) are the major post-paid companies that are accepted. I am out of state so I am paying about 53 cents a min, and my bill is about 120-160 just depending on what's going on that much, and how spoiled we are feeling And as far as the per min cost, land lines and cell phones are the same.
