Default Tamales!

I'd love to go, but the 3,000 drive would be tough.

I finally tried it a few years ago and try to make them every year. It is sorta time consuming. It's one if those things you set aside a day when you're in the mood to mess around in the kitchen. Which is a stress reliever for me. I had a lot of fun trying different versions. Even vegan ones. I made these really good vegan chorizo potato ones that every one loved. Even meat eaters. Sweet corn and green chili... Yum. And of course more traditional ones. Try it. It's not really hard, just takes time patience and a little creativity. Not to mention they are pretty cheap to make especially compared to what you pay for them made. Remember to add an olive in the middle of each one for good luck for the year!!

I am reviving this thread because I love tamales.

Does that make the thread on-topic? Because the topic is tamales.

Okay...so...I love all tamales. As long as they are tamales. I might even love vegetarian tamales. If such a thing exists.

In conclusion....tamales.

You're welcome.

(Sorry, I was browsing through Bull In-Session threads and I just had to add to this one.)

It's the day that Dee gets out!

I'm gonna be away that whole weekend mia, you're going to need to be fed and entertained. That festival is calling your name!

Remember me well as I might not survive that weekend, we've got 5 years of time to make up for and two days to do it.

If I survive that weekend I am told part of the perk of being a part of her family is that her mom makes enough tamales to feed the county.

I hope her parole officer likes tamales.....
