If I can help it I don't want my girl to ever have to work. At all. If she wants to I guess I would "tolerate" it, but I would be annoyed!

I knew my son wanted to go to school. He spent the 1st month getting financial aid and all of that in order. He needed to get his drivers license straightened out and we planned to find him a used car to get to and from work and school. We knew he would need a job, so I expected him to start looking after he got through all of that, which I estimated would be a month.

IMO you apply for everything. He seemed to wait to hear after he applied for each job before looking for the next possibility. That frustrated me. I had posted elsewhere as I was thinking he should have something within 6 months of release. Replies indicated that I should allow a year. He found employment that was willing to work around his school schedule within 3 months of his release.
