Exclamation Alabama DOC has MAJOR suboxin addiction!

Im new to the forum and ive been searching for something about my bf's suboxin addiction. He has been incarcerated for almost 24 yrs and has pretty much been addicted,at one time or another, to just about all the major drugs over the yrs. BUT, this suboxin has a hold on him like none of the others. He is a strong minded person and has kicked alcohol morphine heroine (firing any that could be) but the suboxin is a drug that he says is like none of the others! Where the others would get him high, suboxin just makes him 'normal' and not high. It is so rampant in his facility that I SO WORRY that his 'tapering off' isnt going to work. If theres anyone out there that is going thru this also, plz give some advice that I can pass on to him!

I dont have any advise for him but I do for you...
If this man has kicked this many drug addictions and is now facing another one. That he claims to make him feel 'normal' then my friend youre dealing with an ADDICT. Thats a awful lot of drug use in his past so if I was you I'd get to a alanon meeting or a narcotics support group so you understand boundries so when he kicks this addiction and moves to another you're prepare.
