I don’t have any answers for you but I’ve been thinking about you. I hope something changes and you are able to be with your husband. I can’t inmagine how difficult this must be for you.

I too hope something changes for you, this seems so unfair on you both.

I can't imagine how frustrated and hurt you must be.

I hope that you found some happiness and celebration today for your birthday.

I am appalled!! Is this really even allowed? You're his legal wife-can she actually cut all communication between you two like this?! Ridiculous! Do speak with a lawyer-this just isn't right. I am so sorry you're having to go through this, but love will prevail, and I know you and he will too!

This was all decided without even talking to me.

My birthday's tomorrow and I won't be hearing from him.
Unfortunately, any time the govt has any kind of control over someone, they will go crazy over it and use it to control every aspect of that persons life.

That's why it's crucial not to support any group that pushes for more govt, because otherwise, what is affecting you and your spouse, will affect EVERYONE. Sorry, that was off topic.

I think the previous post about getting a lawyer is a good one, although it may be that if you get a psychological evaluation proving your mental competence, then that would be enough to justify your relationship to the authorities. Although, like I said, they are control hungry, so don't be surprised if you did give them the documentation, if they just completely ignored it. Based on what you say here, though, it's more then obvious you are mentally competent.

Sadly, he was just kicked from community corrections last night due to his ADD issues, and is heading back to prison. I have no clue when he'll get his next chance. He sees parole again in 6 months, but I know they won't let him out.

I'm sorry, after 16 years it would be a difficult transition. Hopefully he will get another chance. Did he get a new charge?

No, he did not get a new charge even though they were deliberately trying to make him fail (the cut off contact with me for six months before this happened.) He literally had too much on his plate- work, weekly parole meetings, thrice weekly therapy. He forgot to complete/turn in assignments because he is ADD.

Unfortunately for his type of offense, parole does not like to officially parole them until they complete community corrections. It will probably be 5 more years before he can be reconsidered for the program.

Regardless, I will be with him.
