Default Came home to a mess

So I came home on my lunch hour to find that my home had been burglarized. The low life scum bags threw a rock thru my kitchen window, totally ransacked my house, went thru my belongings, pulled out drawers, threw my jewelry all over my room, stole my tv, stole several other items that I have worked very hard for.

I am grateful though that it was not yesterday as I was home sick in bed. I am totally pissed that they violated the privacy of my home and left me feeling very vulnerable. I am now getting a security system installed which I should have done long ago....another expense.

I understand that these are most likely addicts looking for drug money but it is my sincere hope they land themselves where they belong, behind bars, that is obviously where they want to be.

Same happened to me last year while I was on vacation... I got a call with still one week to go and they threw everything - and I mean everything - out of the closets, drawers, etc.. They took all my jewelry, some money and that's it. It was scary and upsetting and when I finally came home I asked a friend of mine to come with me. Thankfully my brother helped with the police and crime scene unit who took fingerprints and put a new lock in my door. I was scared to be at home for a long time and didn't want to go out at night...

I know how you feel, hang in there... things can be replaced but the feeling of being violated in your own home is what remains with you always...

Im sorry that happened.
Ive been lucky in that has never happened to me.
We did get some things stolen out of our truck when we left it open one night.
Only thing in it were tie downs (for loads in the back) Which were brand new. Thinking that since they were in a bag, they thought it was something else.
At least they left the trailer hitch.

A coworker got his home burgurlarized (sp) once.
After they stole whatever it was they wanted.....they set the master bedroom closet on fire. Totally screwed up the house.
They rebuilt it, only to lose it again in the Nor Cal fires. This time the whole house is gone.

So sorry to hear this! Any chance you have home owners or renters insurance? It won't help with the feeling of violation but it can help replace stolen and damaged items!
