Exclamation Four North Carolina inmates and four prison staff

Four North Carolina inmates and four prison employees have now been diagnosed with COVID-19, the state’s prison commissioner announced Thursday.

Two of the inmates who’ve tested positive are housed at Neuse Correctional Institution, in eastern North Carolina. The other two are at Caledonia Correctional Complex and Johnston Correctional Institution, also in eastern North Carolina. The staff members, meanwhile, worked at Johnston Correctional Institution, Central Prison in Raleigh, and Eastern Correctional Institution and Maury Correctional Institution in eastern North Carolina.

Please contact Governor Cooper about our concerns. Copy and paste the following in a Google search to reach the page with the letter.

This has been frustrating to watch. They did not stop work release until last week and in once facility they are splitting a dorm in half making one side the quarantine area. They need to figure something out quickly for the safety of everyone!!

This is what his Mom just texted me, Jeff has a hard time getting through a call to me to Panama:

Yes. I talked with him today. He said he has not been able to get a call through to you. I don’t know why that is!!! They are confined to their dorm rooms he can’t even walk outside nor even go to lunchroom. He called around 830 this morning and they had not even had breakfast. They usually have it around six. They’re going to be in total lockdown and they will bring lunch bags which consist of only baloney and bread. Which is extremely unhealthy. But he seems at peace.
