Default Spring/Summer Joys, Concerns and Prayer Circle 2019

Beneath the crust of cold earth, the crocuses and the daffodils are stirring in their winter hibernation. The energy of life and living is pulsing in them and in the latent blades of grass and the unseen maple buds. And it’s pulsing in us, too.
The pulse of life calls us to nourish our bodies with good food and movement, to nourish our spirits with art and song, friendship and tenderness, and quiet.
When we heed the pulse of life, we know what we need to do:
To rise in the morning and rest into darkness.
To put our hands, hearts, and minds to work.
To meet those in our midst with compassion.
To join with the vulnerable and speak truth to power.
To play with our youngest and hear the wisdom of our elders.
To heal the sick and wounded.
To grieve the dying and remember the dead.
To be of use, and sometimes, to be still.
The pulse of life is beating in each and every one of us. Amidst the clamor of these times, let us heed its sure and steady rhythm.
excerpt from "The Pulse of Life" by J. Johnson

As a reminder:
If you need a prayer/good thought/healing energy (whatever term your faith or tradition embraces), it is welcome here.

If you have a joy that you want to share, here's the spot.

This is for all denominations and traditions.
There will be no debating of whose truth is "right".
This won't be a good place for asking questions about the details of another's religious/spiritual practices, just a safe space for dropping your cares and counting your blessings.

This week my husband will be seeing his counselor about a matter we've been working to resolve for years. Literally, years. This is the closest we've been to feeling heard.

Dear God, please open the hearts and minds of those in power. Help them to do what is not only right, but right with Your omniscient plan. We understand that we may not get the result we desire, but we rest assured that whatever the outcome is, You brought us to this spot at this time for a greater purpose. It isn't ours to second guess, but to accept and to seek the growth therein. Lord, help us to be patient, to set our worries and anxieties at Your feet over this and all of the things resting heavy in our hearts. Amen.

Dear Lord,

We are patiently waiting for the decision on this program. If it is the best fit for him, please let him get in. We know you know what is best and trust in your foresight. Please help keep our nerves at bay and focus on all the positives.

I also ask that you aid Mia and her husband. They deserve a break and positive movement forward in this journey.

Amen

The counselor failed to call the meeting. So we breathe and follow up on the "why". It's just a bump, like the bumps before it.

Heavenly Father, we have turned this over to You. We know that You instruct us to pray and work with our hands, that one is not better than the other. So we ask in prayer that You sustain our patience through this process. We ask that You guide our hands so the work we do is fruitful and productive in the ways that are pleasing to You.

Amen

Dear lord,

Please continue to protect us and give us patience as we await news. Keep all those who feel jealousyntoward him away. Continue to keep me and our children under your guidance and protection.
