Default Inside the Moorish ‘sovereign citizen’ movement -- Baton Rouge cop killer

Quote:
The gunman who killed three Baton Rouge police officers Sunday apparently believed most laws did not apply to him because he’d declared himself a “sovereign citizen.”

Wow, these "sovereign citizen" guys are getting out of control...

Police departments across the country are now saying they fear these "sovereign" types more than even typical violent street criminals or armed robbers... a bigger threat to "law and order" than even foreign terrorism.

How do you deal with people who claim immunity from federal, state, and local laws, citing "God’s law" or "common law" over constitutional authority??

they believe that they are not subject to the law, but boy, watch out if you trample the rights granted to them by law. In other words, they can steal and murder, but don't murder their LO, or steal from them.

The problem is that they are fringe to begin with and the fringe of their fringe thinks they are totally justified in violent, illegal acts that don't even sit well with Natural Law let alone the Social Contract.

Anytime there's a voodoo amalgum of language necessary to allow you to get more rights than your neighbor, exempt you from more duties than your neighbor - there's a serious problem.

Personally, they scare the crap out of me, too. And their continued influence in prison, the way they prey upon the incarcerated and the families of the incarcerated - boy that shit just pisses me off to no end.

You are in this country - you are subject to US laws. If you are on Reservation land, you're not just subject to US law, you're subject to tribal law as well. There is no place where you can go in the US, nothing you can say or do outside of dying that will allow you to do stupid shit to others with impunity. And you best pay your taxes, too.

What totally baffles me, is that some of these guys are so afraid of going to jail -- literally, there have been cases where some of them are facing no more than 30 DAYS JAIL MAX for a simple misdemeanor warrant. 30 DAYS! And they'll jump out of their cars when pulled over and start shooting at the police, turning a possible ROR situation into a multiple Class A felony beef (if not death sentence) if they actually succeed in killing a cop.

Granted, most of them are non-violent "paper terrorists" who are just annoying and like to make asses of themselves in court, but still... they're ALL freaking nuts!
