They got their long weekend out of mom...saw that bond was reduced to $75K earlier this afternoon with a GPS requirement.

I think that is reasonable. It seems I read they'd already taken her passport.

Maybe her son and El Chapo can fight extradition as cell mates.

It was actually less than I had anticipated, even taking into account the usual Tarrant County bail schedules. And taking the passport really doesn't do a whole lot given the resources she had...after all, it isn't as though the southern borders are really all THAT secure.

I won't even begin to tell you the places I could probably set a single-engine plane without raising too many eyebrows or pesky Customs officials running a gate check for paperwork...hell, she could probably even contract someone with a twin to get her to the Bahamas with the mom and pop weekend traffic...

All true. I just wish I could tell her it's foolish to try any of it. Living incognito is expensive and stressful.
