Default What I learned spending 2 nights in a Max prison

Not too in depth but interesting read.

All I can say is is that the more publicity prison conditions get the better chance for improvement.
That said, 3 days as compared to LWOP is hardly comparison.

They've taken 2 concepts where housing is concerned and created an apathetic environment. Typically, its not wise to take that many people in a tank setting and shove into a shoe box. Two man cells or single cells are more appropriate at a max and in particular among those that are serving long sentences. When you see bunk beds, double digit numbers of men in one room, no time outside in the sunlight......yeah, maybe at a county jail or transfer facility where you do 2 years or less and then move on to something better, but at a max and LWOP.....that's the epitome of disrespect and a dip sh#t attitude among those in power that work for the state in high positions of authority. Better them than me. I'd probably be dead living in there with that kind of time and those type settings from raising hell and causing problems for staff. There's no excuse for that.
