Exclamation

I very rarely do this, but before this thread goes any further, I want y'all to know something.

When it comes to the topic of addiction, I know more than you do.

I have been in the rooms of NA and AA - clean and sober - for over 25 years.
I have heard it all, seen it all and done quite a bit of it.
I don't need anyone's anecdotes to "open my eyes" or to "teach me" anything.

Trust me [or not] I've got a pretty strong handle on what's going on.

The "friend" I'm renting a room from turns out to be a psychotic bitch and I was already looking for another place. Had a "fight" tonight [meaning she stood there and yelled insulting things about every part of my life in my face for 30 minutes.] It's bad. Haven't been sleeping . . .

Then my husband called. I burst into tears.

Meet-me-Monday-at-4pm is on again. He's got a job working for a sober friend who owns a construction company. Shelter House will help him get a place to live: pay 75% of deposit/rent for 3 months.

I may have a new room-mate and say the hell with everything I've been saying for the last 2 months. IDK yet. I don't know a damned thing, except Monday, he'll hold me.

Aww, Fiat...damnit.

I'm sorry the rooming situation didn't work out. Why do people do that? Offer to help and then act like they get to be your mama as payment in kind? Not cool.

You're scrappy and smart. I know you'll be OK. Give your kitties a nice long head scratch and breathe deep.

Well, it is totally my fault for not reading her mind . . .

"scrappy + smart" I like that!

The purr-balls vote 4 paws up for be able to get out of the room, not listening to any more screeching and NO MORE BARKERS! [4 non-house-broken dogs are included in the rent]

Hurry up Monday!

Fiat, there's nothing like life for whipping you through a 180-degree turn! Hope you can keep your balance!

He may have been still using in prison, you think? Because how do you run right back?. Some of the guys I see in the visiting room falling asleep..(almost falling out of their chairs) Or so hyped up that they are sweating bullets. The drugs are real behind the wall too.

Stay strong! I will keep you in my prayers.

You have every right to be disappointed. I can kind of put Myself in your husbands position because I know what itís like to let people down, make bad choices, be untruthful. Always thinking I can get away with bad behavior is lending me over 200 months in federal prison when itís all said and done. All I have left is the shame and humiliation And a long prison term
