Department of Corrections Department Receives Funding for Re-entry Hotline
Press Release Date: Friday, August 17, 2007
Contact Information: Cheryl Million

FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Department of Corrections’ Commissioner John Rees today announced the establishment of a “Re-entry Hotline” for inmates that are being released from prison...
Well....unless I've overlooked it....they failed to give the "toll-free" number in this press release. Hmmmmm. The contact numbers listed are not the hotline, nor tollfree. Typical DOC oversight of important and needed information.

I'm sorry, I didn't even notice the missing Hotline #. I just called the phone # provided and of course was transferred and ended up with an answering machine. As soon as someone returns my call with the # I will post it here along with any additional info. they may have. Teri
its not included in the press release because they realized the number that was printed on all the posters they gave out was actually a misprint lol n was a porn line...they originally printed 1-800-inmate8..which is actually a porn line...the actual line is 1-800-inmate4.....my man is actually one of the inmates who they will talk to..and of course the press release is wrong to..some of the inmates that are on the other end have not graduated the program yet..cuz mine hasnt and hes one of the phone people from 4-7pm!!! but im proud of'em!!!

tolong, this is what you asked about: Haven of Rest Family Ministries
A little change in the name but I found it for you! Teri
Haven of Rest Family Ministries is a hospitality house for inmates' families who travel to Martin County to visit inmates at the new Big Sandy Federal Penitentiary. There is no charge. Reservations must be made with a refundable deposit of $25.
Housing for large work groups available during the week with kitchen facilities available. On the week end we have 2 bedroom townhouses with a sleeper couch for $40 plus tax a night. The large kitchen is available for meals on the week ends also.
Volunteer teams are needed July 8-13, July 22-27, and all of August. Projects include teams to help in the store, teams to do cleaning and mowing, and would especially be good if one or two persons on the team could do sheetrock and mudding.
