Default Abby Miller

I think she is being extremely dramatic here!

Abby Lee Miller Tearfully Admits She ‘Probably Won’t Survive’ Prison in New Tell-All Interview

“I made lots of mistakes,” Miller, 50, tearfully shares, adding, “I probably won’t survive.” Bila debuted the first promo of the Dance Moms: Abby Tells All special on Tuesday’s episode of the ABC daytime talk show.
In the sneak peek, Miller also addressed how her bankruptcy fraud has affected her career and legacy. “Oh, I panicked,” she said. “I gave kids a new life. No one can take that away from me. No one.”

If a person can't survive less than a year in a federal camp their problems go deeper than legal woes.

I wasn't a big Martha Stewart fan before her arrest, but she handled her prison time with such grace I learned to like her. No whining, no tears, no drama.

Well when you make your career on drama BS and encouraging little girls to be hateful brats....what else would you expect from a person?

I had no idea who she was until these federal charges came up, but I have no sympathy for her. She created her own situation - just like I did.

This is the attitude a lot of people facing their first sentence have, especially if they view themselves as somehow less than what they think of as the stereotypical inmate in what they think of as the most common prison environment.

Part of it is because the only media exposure they have to prison is Oz, Lock-up, and OITNB. Part of it is because they cannot reconcile the life they had with the life they think they are going to have in prison. And sometimes, it's because of a personality disorder or other mental health condition that make them want to create drama. She's popular, therefor thinks she's going to be a target of a lot of hate.

The reality is that most have no clue what it's like in prison, cannot see past the first body cavity search, and cannot imagine their lives after prison. The reality is, most will survive prison, especially something like a camp.

Very true.I.ve talked to so mny people here who think prison is going to be like Oz or Lockup (true in that there are real prisons and inmates but totally sensationalist).Prisons, especially lowr security places are usually more boring than anything else

Prison will be what you make it. I ss on Sept 1 for 51 months and am already planning coping strategies. Not that I have all the answers, but I am looking to come out better, not bitter. I have to pay the price for my actions, but I can use this as a time to reflect on the reasons I made those decisions and come out stronger.

“I’m afraid of being physically abused or raped,”

Absolutely everything I have read about Federal minimum security says the same thing, that getting attacked is just not one of the things to worry about.

If she brings her TV persona to prison, she will have big problems with the other inmates. Prisoner etiquette starts by considering everyone else there as an equal. Obnoxious inmates are not well received, even in minimum security institutions.

Just watched the Abby Miller special and was shocked at how, even now, she is not accepting responsibility for her crime. Quite frankly, I would be scared to put that out there, knowing how the feds are. I think she needs to accept responsibility and shut up. She just put a huge target on her back, in my humble opinion.
