Ok maybe you can be a little bit clearer about things so you can get better advice. Did he catch a whole new charge while doing federal time? Or just a DR? It makes a huge difference. PS we all have been lost when it comes to this and most of us are still just trying to get through a horrible experience!! Just be patient and someone can probably help.

Well hopefully he can use his good behavior to clear his name. I honestly have no idea about Federal Prison but lots of people here do. So just hang in there and don't panic, that never helps anything.

It may depend on if he is indicted in federal court on new felony charges or not. If he is, he will have a lawyer appointed to represent him. If not, and if he receives a conduct "shot" from the bop's list of in-prison violations, he will be on his own during the eventual hearing by either the unit disciplinary committee or the district heating officer (DHO) for the more severe charges.

Even though almost everybody loses their bop hearings, the available punishments are much lower than those resulting from new felony charges in court.

If there is the remotest of remote possibilities of a new federal Indictment for the incident, then NOW is the time to be interviewing attorneys skilled in federal prosecution. OP and husband need to be in FRONT of this thing, even though that means spending money NOW on counsel...

He will know more after the court hearing. If it is in federal court, you can follow his case on pacer, public access to federal court records,

Does he have an attorney appointed for the court hearing? Has he been indicted?
