Default Parole Violation - they offered 18 months but gave 60 months?!?!

Hello everyone! So my fiancť has a parole violation and at the hearing they offered him 18mths, so the parole board finally came to a decision but they gave him 60mths on a 1st violation. Iím confused as to why would they offer him 18mths ( which he agreed) but give him 60mths?? Has anyone had experience with this kinda thing? Does he really have to do the whole 60mths? They already scheduled him to take classes. Do they still look at good behavior for releasing violators early? Is the 18 mths they offered him the minimum time he has to do? Iím lost! This is my first time dealing with this kind of situation.

I don't know exactly how they come to their conclusions. Mine was given a year on his violation but then gave him a 2 yr flop.I can't answer your other questions

Well it still has the same from when he went to prison the first time which is Min 2016 Max 2039..he paroled in 2016. I donít know Iím just confused on why they didnít give him what they offered which is the 18mths...and Iím wondering is it anywhere from 18mths to 60... and of course they donít give you any info if you were to call and ask.

You should call the Parole office in Lansing and ask them the next time he will see the Parole board. They will let you know.
