Here is a link to SCOTUSblog that contains the exact timeline of what was filed and when, links to the actual Briefs, and full text of the (unanimous) Opinion of the Court by Justice Thomas.

https://www.scotusblog.com/case-file...united-states/

This ruling.....waive[s] the sovereign immunity of the United States for the intentional torts of prison guards when they are acting within the scope of their employment but are not exercising authority to "execute searches, to seize evidence, or to make arrests for violations of Federal law.

Default I correct in my interpretation?

Appreciate that link, but 2680 h to 1346 on March 2019 circle it back and we'll take a look, have to look at the subsections, like a 3rd party private company. This is from 1988, drunk cop shoots guy and a corpsman who ran to not grt shot was blamed instead of gov or officer so no claim could be filed. Then it was 6 Tort assaults, now it's this. Correct if wrong...
