Default Question about classification

Hello everyone, I just have a question if anyone could answer, if someone has a charge that has a 180 day mandatory minimum does that automatically disqualify them for minimum status?? Or is this such a low mandatory minimum that it would not affect the classification for minimum status?? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

From what I understand, NJ Classification is determined using an Objective Classification System - see page 7 of The NJ Inmate Handbook HERE.

You may also want to review Understanding the New Jersey Department of Corrections Prison SystemHERE.

Thank you so much! It looks like if the mandatory minimum is under 24 months then it should not be a problem! I appreciate you sharing that information!
