Welcome to Prison Talk!

Sorry about the arrest Unless I am completely mistaken, in CA they want to know what kind of crime you were arrested for; you might be denied for unpaid traffic tickets, outstanding arrests/warrants, failure to appear, for having a felony in x amount of recent years... etc. but I think the bottom line is they will need to know about the arrest and then make the decision.

If I were you I would call the facility to make sure - I assume your husband is in state & you have been approved before as you have been visiting; I think it would be worse if you didn't tell them about the arrest and they would 'catch you'..but I don't really know how people do this, I myself would call and explain my situation and hope for the best... Good luck

Whether you tell them now or they find out when you do your update (depending on the facility it's annual or every other year), they will find out. It's better to just rip it off like a bandaid and call and talk to the visiting sgt and get it over with. If it was a minor offense, it may not make a bit of difference. They also have the option to suspend visits and give you the option to reapply after a certain amount of time.

I WAITED personally its what I chose to do.

When Visiting made me Update my application I added there my charges/ PC codes and arrest date.

I got in still after that. They weren't tripping.

If it's a County Jail issue, as long as you don't have a warrant or are not on parole or probation, then you should be fine.

If it's State Prison, you'll need to disclose your arrest, charge, disposition, etc. the next time you renew your visitation form (happens every 2 years.)

Good luck.

I don't know but when I was out on bond I would have violated my bond by going and the jail loved when someone came to visit and would be arrested!! Be really careful of what you do.

Since you have only been arrested, and not convicted yet.....I think you can visit.
but they do ask for your dl when you visit, so Im assuming they run it.

That may not be the situation after your case has been resolved.
I'd be very cautious. You dont need any more trouble.
