I want to plan so much stuff....but my husband wants to go simple. So I plan on taking him for breakfast and then to the parole office and then straight home. I'll have dinner already going in the crock pot (bbq ribs). We plan on spending most of the day alone and then figuring it all out as the day goes on. Visiting with family and our daughter etc. After that a visit to his mother in Jersey and his brother in Manhattan and then a cruise in January or February to Alaska. I'll let him decide what he wants to do and when. I just want him home.

I know I feel the same way. It's definitely getting harder. My husband just called me and he said he was sad My heart nearly broke. I wish I could go see him more I just can't right now. We were actually going to start not visiting as much to save a little money but I'm not doing it. As of now we don't see each other but only twice a month. I'm staying as positive as I can it's just not that easy most of the time. We are getting closer though. We have 285 and a wake up left.

My husband had his interview 10/23/2017, his PED Date was 01/29/18. I just read online 12/22/17, he was denied his first parole review and will not get another PED until 12/2/018. Is it possible they will shorten this time

Almost 2018! My fiance still does not have a halfway house date, there has been a lot of delays with the paperwork which is seriously testing my patience but hopefully he will be in a halfway house by September if he gets the full 6 months his case manager put in for.

Yeah I think it does take a while not to mention the holidays might be slowing things down to. Let hope he's into one after the new year. Or sooner

Mrsmusej's loved one is Federal. Many Federal inmates have had their HWH date set back due to the closing of many HWHs nationwide

See the following thread:
Federal Halfway houses closing due to budget cuts

Yeah I'm finding out it is a slow process, my guys case manager told him that the halfway houses are scrutinizing the paperwork and will send it back if even the smallest thing is not "perfect". Let's hope we both get a date soon!!

I hope you both get a date soon. Now is this mandatory that they have to go to a HwH after prison. Or can they just stay and do the rest of that time inside or no?? I don't know how it all works. I know once my husband had to go to a place after prison for four months but the didn't call it a HwH. And he said it was harder then prison.

We also had to give his PO his job info where he would be working so they could verify he already has a job set up.
