Sooooooooo
I was so tired yesterday after work. I didnt want to cook at all. I'd taken out some burger meat to try to figure out something.

Remembered I needed to use up a large bag of shredded cheese.
So, I figure........mac and cheese.
I start the water and begin looking for my old tattered betty crocker paperback cook book that is torn in half at the binding.
I remember that the recipe calls for onions......so I cut the last onion in half and chop that up. Then I need to throw out the old flour I have and rinse the container (glass mason jar) because its got those nasty bugs, and grab the new bag of flour. I remember it calls for flour. OH, and milk. Grab that.
Grab some croutons to top it with cause I dont have any bread crumbs.
Still cant find the book.
Meanwhile the pasta I chose to use is the shell pasta, cause I cant find the macaroni one.
I say.....screw it. Cant find the book. Just deal and make it.
LOL!
It was a circus. But somehow I got it all mixed together. I had to keep adding milk because one cup was not enough.
In the end I added 3! and a crap ton of cheese.
I'd cooked the onions and milk/flour mixture in my new cast iron pot so I could throw it all in the oven at the end.
At the last second before I put it in the oven, I find a small can of those diced chilies....the little green ones that add flavor and a tad of heat? Those go in.

Baked for about 20-25 min without the top.
Hub made hamburgers (he makes them like mini meat loafs)
Son tossed the salad together and ta da.......dinner on the fly.

The guys loved the mac and cheese. They said, remember how you did it.
(like that will ever happen)

Still have not found the cookbook.

I'm working from home today and I've just baked a banana bread. My favorite recipe and cook book are the Silver Palate Cookbooks... best recipe ever. From scratch and easy.

Side, the Mac and cheese sounds good, but you could have found your recipe on line at the Betty Crocker site.

I think it is called Mom's Mac and cheese.

Our Christmas markets are open now (in Germany and i)n my city and since I live downtown I have one really close to my house, maybe 100 feet. So I was just running errands and on my way home I picked up a chocolate covered banana... YUMMY!!!

We haven't even gotten winter yet...it's still like 82. My AC runs every day. It's pretty depressing.

Anyway, I think we are having chili for dinner...with cornbread of course!

I actually thought about going to get apple sauce, but you and your Jeep break down popped into my head and kept me home!

It is so cold and wet! I try not to go out in bad weather unless I have to, but I am going to add apple sauce to my Wal Mart list right now.

They were really good too.

Snow!?!??!!??

Maybe you need to switch back to being Crazy!

Seriously, as I was thinking about going an image of you walking along the side of the road in the dark flashed through my brain and I decided I could tough it up with sour cream since I had it for the borscht I made a few days ago.

Not one of my favorite things either!!! I walked to the mail boxes today and could barely get home. I am having problems with both hips, so getting stuck and walking is not going to happen!!! I'll die of frostbite in my car!!!
