Default Stand Up & be counted- Millions for Prisoners Human Rights March

So many of us post on here about the frustration of not being heard, not being seen as important. Here is the chance to stand up & show the world that our loved ones are not just a DOC number or the label of their conviction.

On August 19,2017 there will be an organized march on Washington DC to bring attention to the failure of the criminal justice system & the effects it has on those who have been incarcerated. Here is a link to the group that's organizing the march & also a link to the event.

Please try to spread the word & attend if you can. It's time to come out of the shadows & tell your story. Change can't happen if those affected don't stand strong.

Most of these Marches have "sister" marches in cities across the country. If anyone would like to get involved and cannot make it to Washington, organize a march for Aug. 19th in your city

That's a very good point. I'm hoping there will be many of them all over to raise awareness. I hope people will share the link with any reform groups in their area so they can plan on doing a march. I'm doing that with groups in my area & also alerting the news media when it gets closer. We need to take every chance we can to make people aware that legal discrimination of people with convictions has to end.
