There is no way to really tell, my boyfriend wrote to me and said that there have been a bunch of incidents the last few weeks so they decided to lock everybody down and they didn't tell them how long it would be for.

Default USP Lockdown

I just got a letter and it was sent the 14th so it took 2 days to get to me. He started writing it on the 11th and finished it on the 13th mailed on the 14th. He has only gotten two of my letters/cards and I sent those on the 8th and 9th. He got both of them on the 11th so about 3 days but that is all he has gotten and I have sent one everyday since the 8th. So hopefully it is only taking 3 days to get to him. He says that he was told lockdown would be ending by or on March 23rd. So he says that probably means "after" the 23rd! They are moving everybody out of their cells and xraying all of their belongings and putting them in different cells. So it seems it is gonna be quite a bit longer unfortunately.

Thank you for the update Cali, sounds pretty serious. I really appreciate the info that people are posting here. I wont be home till after the 25th (away on business at the moment) so I wont get any of my mail till then. It's been really hard not being able to communicate with my guy. Ive been sending him cards while I am away so at least he knows that I know whats going on and am thinking of him.

Default Lockdown 2016

Hello I just got a letter today and it is dated 3/14/16 so about 3 to 4 days to get my letters/cards. He says they should be off lockdown by the 28th they are moving the men to different cells and going by different races for each cell.So Latino in one cell the next White and the next Black so hopefully this makes everything calm and non-violent? I really hope so! It is such a different world inside the walls of USP and all the other Federal Prisons. Just pray for the safety and well being of all the men incarcerated there!

I have heard nothing from my man since 4th of March too. But I know that they can write letters, hope for you you get some soon. Unfavorable for me because I live in Europe and it takes a long time to get a few letters.

Default Lockdown 2016

Everything had been running so smoothly...emails, phone calls and then wham it all goes quiet! How long can they keep them on lockdown is there a limit to it? This Friday will be three weeks hopefully they will be off it before then. I will post what I hear from my boyfriend...unfortunately Friday came and went as he was under the impression they were going off lockdown. Stay strong!!

Default lockdown

Don't know about a limit. I had read long time before they was 30 days in lockdown some years ago. Hopefully it will not be so long. I still haven't heard a peep from my man. Going crazy with fear, hope he is doing well.
Thanks ladies to keep me up to date
