I always say to my pen pal..Blessings or peace..depending on the tone and my mood .I was careful when we first became friends to keep it light and simple..!
I usually don't do anything so formal. When I say something like "well, I'll talk to you soon" to indicate that the letter is ending. I say "talk to you soon. Be good." and then put xoxo (which if you knew me, it's part of my character)...but that depends on how close I am to my PP's, but I'm pretty sure I've written that a lot more often than not.

I have a couple of pals that I have known for years now and I end my letters to them with:
" with truckloads of love, with an airplane full of love"
And I try to think of something new every time and if I forget or write something else, the first thing my pals will ask in their next letter is if I was upset about something because I forgot about the love part lol xxx syl

When I first started a PP friendship it would be "Your Friend" now that I've been writing all my pals for a good length of time it is "love always" and I always include my fave bible quote at the end.

Glad to see all the different responses! First few letters with T we both used sincerely or take care but now it's been a few months we are both ending our letters with 'Your friend'.
Initially, I would close with "Sincerely yours" and she would close with "Yours truly," but as we've grown closer in our friendship I now write "Love always" and she writes "Love." No, we're not romantically involved. We're just very close.

I've been writing with my friend for 2 years and my last letter to him I ended with:
"Lots of hugs, smiles and mail-dancing,
Your friend forever,
Michelle"
That's probably how I mostly end my letters for him, just with different varieties.. I always write "lots of hugs", but the "smiles and mail-dancing" changes. Sometimes I write "love", "thoughts" or stuff like that instead
