I love that! That should be the name of our support group for our men at Facility E.
The "Sick of Tehachapi Club!" Ha! Beautiful!

My husband was released just this pass juky from CCI. He was in facility E and we still have friends in facility E that still call us. When he was there there wasn't lockdowns. There has been a few bad seeds there that has be causing trouble in E yard, it's not so much the prison it self.

So why don't they change their points or do something that makes those bad seeds accountable for their actions. Why are they level one when they aren't level one worthy. I'm so angry about this! My man doesn't do anything wrong. He wants to get his time done as quickly as possible and get home. I do blame it on the prison. They need to find another way to deal with those bad seeds. If they know that's the problem, make it better! They don't need to be level 1 acting like that.

Level 1 yards will always have the same issues as any higher level yard. They guys know how to work the system and how to get around from getting caught and getting points or write ups. Unfortunatly it happens in all prisons and all levels. It's just a prison life that will never change. Those on the outside also have to roll with the punches as it affects everyone. Accepting that makes it's an easier pill to swallow. If we get upset everytime something goes then we will live a very angry life.

My man was sent to a level 2 SNY for a month at CRC before going to CCI. It was ran much better. They could use the phones whenever they were available. The COs were more respectful and they were rarely in lockdown. All I'm saying is that CCI seems to handle trouble in a much different way and its affecting us all to much. We all know that each prison is different in Cali. To my family, this one is ran poorly.

My husband has done time in the CDCr in the double digits now. I guess I'm so used to it that it doesn't bother me anymore. I've learned to go with it and not stress about what the COs or prison does. I can't control it so why get upset. It's prison. Because one yard doesn't run right or is more strict does not mean that all the facility is the same. There has been a lot if changes at CCI in the recent months so the extra security measures and training is to be expected. All COs handle their yards differently. Unfortunately frustration from time to time is to be expected in this prison life. And honestly I don't get mad at the CDCr, I tell my husband we are in this situation because of his decisions not the CDCr.

And I agree with much of that. But let us not forget about the handful of inmates that are in prison unjustly. Also, many if our prisons treat our loved ones worse that what the Geneva Convention expects our prisoners of war to be treated. I know that for a fact. If I turn a deaf ear to the mal treatment that I've seen, I wouldn't be able to look
At my loved one in the face. I realize it is as it is but I know the cdcr could do better and be far more consistent within their system.

We, or at least I was, talking about LOCKDOWNS not mistreatment as this is a lockdown thread. I think you looked too much into what I said.

Facility E is back on lockdown ladies. Sorry for the bad news. CCI said that they shouldn't have to search every building. They are conducting inmate interviews, so hopefully it won't take too long. The man said maybe a few days. Unbelievable!

Thank you so much for the great news! It is really hard not to get those calls when that is all you get of your husband! I was told that they have laid off a lot of COs up there and it could be just easier to lock down the low level guys, so they can keep security on the higher level yards. Locking them down for petty reasons! Who knows but the prison!! It makes sense, but it is just someone's opinion, not facts! BUT I am really happy to know I will talk to my hubby tonight, so thanks again!

I know! This is crazy! It's happening all the time. If it weren't for you girls, I'd be flipping out! I'm so appreciative of the correspondance so that we can keep each other aware of what's happening.

I received one yesterday ( Thursday). They put in a new phone system and the calls were not recorded like they were supposed to be. The calls came from a different number I noticed and that annoying voice that comes on thru out the call is a voice of a lady now. That may just be a excuse again to keep them off the phones but no call so far this evening. Hopefully we all get our calls soon!

Thank you soooo much for the info! I received a phone call this afternoon while I was at work & I noticed it was a female automated voice on the voicemail. I was so lost. But now I know for sure that's what was going on. Thanks again! I appreciate it so much! Hopefully everything will be up & running normal by tomorrow! I hate when they do this! It feels like FOREVER!
