Default Money Order to Iowa National Lockbox

A question regarding sending money order to inmate..
Should i make MO payable to BOP or to inmate himself?

The inmate and make sure you put his name and number.

Here is a link to the bop "Inmate Money" page with all of the instructions for WU and money orders. Any MO except US Postal MOs are held for an additional 15 days.

Got the money order. I will put name and number. The next line says address...do I use the PO at the prison or name of prison or nothing or the PO for the Iowa address???

My man isn't federal he's state... but whenever I send a money order to him I put his name and Number as payable to... then the address I'm sending the money order itself to. For Example: Pay to: Inmate #123456 Address: P.O.Box 1234 Ft. Madison, Iowa which is where I send the envelope containing the money order to.

You just need his complete name and inmate number. On the side for your information you have to fill that out completely with your name and address.
