dances - as so many have said this is a place where we all bring our common pain and share the burden and thus make the going a little easier for all of us - what we need to share here has less to do with the crime and more to do with the love for our child and how doing the time with our child effects us - please share whenever and whatever you feel a need to share - my prayers are constantly with the parents and the children here in this safe place - love you

I am new here, and still too terrified to introduce myself, but from everything I have read and everything I hope this site to be, please just let it all go. This is what I eventually hope to be brave enough to do here. You are in my heart and prayers today. May you find moments of calm and peace between the moments of the insanity that is hurting us all.
I'm glad that you're here, jenn. It took me a while before I posted, too, but once you take that first step it becomes much easier - not to mention the great support you will find here. Looking forward to meeting you whenever you are ready!

I found this forum in January when my son was leaving and it has truly blessed me. I have all these people who are going through what I am going through and everyone that has replied has been very supportive and helpful to me. The crimes are not the same but the feelings we are experiencing can be, grief, fear, anger, sadness. People are very judgmental and I don't tell anyone he is in jail and if I did, I probably wouldn't tell them why. Your son's story is very sad. Truly it breaks my heart. I wish everyone the best and hope we all can find something here that helps us to get through this nightmare.
