For some reason it wont let me post under the mail questions thread. My husband paroles on the 21st of this month. I sent his parole clothes and did everything I was told told and didn't ship anything i wasn't supposed to. I tracked it through USPS and it said that the package was unclaimed and sent back. This isn't my first time sending parole clothes but this is the first time it is being sent back. because it is a holiday today I cant get any answers. I dont even know if I have time to send it again. I guess my question is why would it be unclaimed? It was deliverd thursday at 6 am and was sent back to me friday at 230 What the heck should I do I am really confused this has never happened before

Default DVI Tracy CA, What to send in Stationary Package?

I need a current update on what I can send to my fiance who is in reception at DVI Tracy. I'm hearing different things... How much paper, envelopes, stamps, and clear pens? What type of pens? What size manila envelope ect...

I've been searching, but have not gotten a straight answer and many posts are from 5-6 years ago.

Thanks a bunch!

Default Stationary Supplies?!?

My fiance is in reception and I was wondering how much stationary supplies can I send him and what is acceptable to send? How much paper, envelopes, stamps, pens, what type of pens.... ect. I haven't gotten an answer that is current. All responses that I have read are from 5-6 years ago. I have called the mail room many times and have not been able to get through. Please let me know if anyone has any info.

Thanks =)

Default Parole Hearing?!?

Also my fiance is back in prison for a parole violation... he did not pick up any new charges. Will he get his parole hearing there? I'm confused on how the process works. He has to have a parole hearing before he is mainlined right?

We got through last week and was told one thing, then my niece called and was told something else. I sent 2 different packages, so won't know which was right, until one gets sent back.

I was told 500 loose sheets of paper
1 clear pen
1 #2 pencil
Colored pencil
Stamped envelopes

As far as stationary items go, you can send writing tablets or writing paper, and envelopes. I usually get a Manila envelope, the big size and I put 2-50 page writing tablets and like 20 legal or letter size envelopes and a book of stamps in it and send it off, I don't think sending pens is allowed. Thats usually is enough for a little while at least. Hope thats helps you.

Question writing package to reception?

Hi, In reception, is this still the contents allowed for a writing package? Oh, and I heard to take off the plastic from the pen, true or not? And any color of color pencil, or random? And just one? Oh, and how many stamped envelopes?

Thanks for any info! Brand new to Tracy reception.

1 #2 pencil
Colored pencil
Stamped envelopes

That's what I sent. It was never returned, so I'm assuming he got it.

When they are transferred out, does their mail transfer, or returned to sender?

As far as I know, as long as his CDC# is on it, they can forward it to wherever he gets transferred.

Ugh - that's annoying. I've never had anything returned when he's transpacked...

My Ex was in west hall and he told me it was a flippin hell hole...mice, locked down 24hrs a day he will get yard a few hours a week and a shower maybe 2 a week. I'm assuming he is in reception? The levels are all mixed in together. It took my EX 3 months to get mainlined to his prison...sorry I don't have better news about DVI but it really is a pit!
