Default Next month will 6 years released and sucessful

It has been a long time since I was here at prisontalk.com.
Our story is very unique but long so I will make it short for you.
We met thru christian friends in 1995 and I waited 11 years for his release.I didnt know if he would get out as he was doing a 27-60 yr bit.I was his only support both mentally and financially. We got married in 2001 and it took a year to plan.In 2006 after doing 17 years my hubby was released to a halfway house.I lived in Mich and he in Ohio.So I sold my house and most of what I owned to find a rent house here and 3 mos later we were able to live together as man and wife.
He found a job 1 month after getting out! It is a very hard physical job but in the last 6 yrs he has worked up to $15 an hour and soon may be promoted again. He has done tremendously well as far as acclimating because I always try to be supportive and guide him when he has trouble decision making out here.He is a fetal alcohol syndrome adult and I feel this is one of the reasons he ended up in prison along with his drug use.He has stayed totally clean by the saving grace of Jesus and now only smokes cigarettes. He has never drank or done drugs as they test all the time at work.My husband is a model hubby coming right home from work. You couldnt ask for a more loving or respectful man.We are older now and I will be retiring in a few years.I have many health issues from the days I was an auto worker. Now,he takes care of me!!
My point is this:
Be loving and supportive and NEVER give up hope that your loved one will get out and come home!! My hubby was doing life but here he is!! We live in a cute ranch house in the nice part of town and have a little chihuahua girl together we both love. We own 3 cars and have NO debts. My hubby has a large garage full of riding lawn mowers he fixes and resells occasionally.
I feel I was an instrument in getting him out too as I constantly wrote the parole board in show of support. He was a model inmate there and keeping your cool and remembering your anger management skills made the difference between getting out and not.Sincere remorse is a must!!
It wasnt so perfect at first,He did have a few problems relearning to drive. But now he does just fine.We only have 4 years left as a registered offender and we will no longer have to report every year.We will be able to live anywhere we are allowed (if they allow felons and arent predjudiced.)
Well Ill end here and just say God bless all the people that sincerely tried to help us with advice thru those long 17 years and may God bless you all with the same happiness he has given us.Love the Lord and you will always choose the right path.

Default Thank-You!

Thanks everyone for all the Best wishes .
We did something funny today.............
we went shopping for a new "throne"(toilet)
at Menards today. It was fun cause we did it together!
He is so good at fixing ANYTHING and installed it in an hour.
This was one of our wishes together way back then..........
to jump in the truck and go shopping whenever we wanted.
He gets lots of knee squeezes to let him know Im right beside him!
We also hit our fave flea market something we love to do.

**Remember.....NEVER give up.When you find peace
the Lord will move and make it happen for you.He never puts
more then we can bear on us.**

Always,

What a beautiful and inspiring story thank you so much for sharing. And congrats to you both. my husband has five and a half years left on a 20 year bit. He was a very close friend before he went in. we have since admitted or feelings for one another, got married 4 years ago. By the time he comes home I'll have stood by him without walking away for 14 years. Its been hard sometimes more then others. I have great faith in him successfully making out here. Hearing your story inspires me greatly. Thank you!

Default Putterpanthers husband update

Hello everyone.
I am Putterpanthers husband. I am so proud and thankful for the rest of my life for all the things my wife has done for me thru my incarceration and still does today. Being out was rough at first. I spent 33 yrs living life my way .
No one gave me the love and support that my wife does. I still struggle with
decisions / judgements. But with the love and support from my wife, she always helps me keep all my ducks in a row. Talking /sharing is what I have learned and
is what helps keep a relationship together. I use to be a Hard core drinker -drug addict. But thru the grace of our Lord and saviour He helped Me throw this all away . Now if I could just throw the cigs away. One step at a time .
Hang in there people. I have been out going on 8 yrs now. To see all I had and threw away back then,17 yrs, I will never get back. There is no way I will ever go back to that life again. I have a very loving wife who stuck by my side thru the thick and thin. I will forever be in her debt.

Many thanks to everyone and their best wishes! We are still going strong and are living in the same place with our little chi-girl.My hubby has been promoted to another dept at work and its much less physical and hard on him.He is a overhead crane operator and works in bolt galganizing. He loves his new dept! We are very excited as we have only 2 years left to register and then we are free! Hoping to buy our own place in the country when that goal is reached. We are so thank-ful for the blessings in our life. The Lord is forever faithful and by our side.Once again remember to NEVER give up hope that your loved one will come home.Write those letters to the parole board and show that you are a stable influence and a haven for him to come home to.Blessings to you all....Dreams DO come true!
