I'm sure this is a big topic but I can't find too much on it. My husband has no affiliation at all and in a letter I got today, he's been transfrred to McConnell which apparently is a gang related unit, so it's a concern of his what can we expect? He's been in for 13 years and I don't know how he's been handling this previously (well, he was in ad seg for a long time) has anyone else had to deal with this??
Thanks ya'll... idk what to think and he can't tell me anything I'm sure...I've never seen any obvious tattoos on him but my cousin said there is no way to survive in there without 'clicking' up.
My husband just got transferred into this unit and so far there is nothing much encouraging he's been able to tell me :-/
McConnell isn't just for gangs and such. Its a full ID facility. Education, work an programs are there as well. He might have been moved there for any number of reasons. He might also he there waiting transfer to a unit further south. Could be any number of reasons one would end up on that unit. If he want been classified as gang affiliated, then the odds are slim to none that he will be, unless he cliques up and get marked. The unit has several locations as it holds Andre thousand inmates. They tend to classify them together and away from eah other for the obvious reasons. In theory, its practical ... in practice its flawed at best.
I wouldn't stress too much bout being on that unit, unless you have received a letter of distress, then might seek some assistance if possible.
