I work with a couple of different circles and feathers are always appreciated. Right now one of the circles are beading feathers and making dream catchers for give- aways at pow wows. the Feathers will be gifted to different intertribal and tribal organizations and used to honor veterans after the veterans dance, or gifted in the general give away...either way its all to a good cause and any kind of feather is great. If you are willing I can give you mailing information and send donation forms, or you could send them to me...just let me know.

Thumbs up

Oh thats wonderful!! If you can PM me the needed info I can just send them from here so we both don't have to pay postage. Oh this is great... OH and I know they are young. So it will be awhile before we get any feathers from them but we now have 3 young turkeys. So in the future I will have those kind of feathers too.

hi there, i hope we can still make requests. my husband has ran out of sage and praying medicines and hasnt been able to get any. where he is they dont take very good care of the natives and it gets me down to see and hear the pain in his voice when he cant pray and sweat like he wants to. im not sure how to go about it but if there is anyone who can help me to get some medicines and maybe a spiritual package to him would be greatly appreciated. they dont even have a chaplain there. hes in wasco state prison in wasco california. i would greatly appreciate anyone who can help us with this. thanks and have a great day. dolores

Hi, Its great that your willing to share....no, you don't need to know anyone to send your gifts, but you will need tyo contact the prison, probabbly the head of religious services or chaplain, to find out how to go about donating. Usually there is a form involved, but not always.

the cedar would be clipped from a tree, the leaves of the cedar tree. I just keep an eye on neighbors (and brushpiles on the side of the road) for those who have been pruning and pick up those, rather than cut into a tree. However there have been many occasions where I have done just that. An offering of tobacco, or other medicine, thanking the tree for its gift is necessary,

Because birds carry mites, I always pwoder my feathers with borax, even if they don't have mites it will keep mites away for awhile.

To get your answer quickly, I am going to suggest that you contact Chowchilla directly as the responses may vary from state to state.
