I just wanted to share my good news with everyone. My son's max date is tomorrow! No more parole agent. No more worrying that something minor will send him back in. He was fifteen years old when he did something stupid and got himself classified as a "violent offender". Now, he's 30. He's been working as a security officer at a juvenile placement for about 5 years now, and recently got benefits. He's been married for a little over 3 years, and has beautiful twins. The worst thing he's done in the last 15 years is to get a traffic ticket. I am so proud of him!
I'm still going to be checking in here occasionally. I just feel like my information on the system is getting very out of date. Thank God that it is!
Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you, your son, and his family. I can't wait till the day my husband and I can say the same thing, but that won't be till Feb. 14, 2015. I got good news today also, his parole officer came today to do the home plan, and said he is definitly going to approve the home plan, and according to his paperwork my husband will be released from SCI-Chester in 3-6 weeks. It's been a long 14 months. I was surprised how much his parole officer told me, because most won't tell you anything. Congratulations, on finally being done with this mess of a system!!!!
