Just thought that I would stop by and say Hi. Hope you all are doing good. Things are going great for Don minus no job yet. We could not have asked for a nicer PO. He is one that has given Don the rope and if he hangs himself there is no one to blame but himself not we will give you part of the rope and see how long before I hang you. He met with his Po last week for the first time since being on parole and he stuck his head out the door and told Don have a good month see you next month. I have to say parole has been so much better than probation.

I am so glad to hear everything is going so well for the two of you...sorry he hasn't found a job yet...it's one of the hardest times of the year to get a job and the bad economy isn't helping anything either...I think I am having serious short timers syndrome...we are down to 114 days and I am going nuts wanting the time to go by faster...at least October flew by so I am praying the next couple of months will too...BTW how long do they give him to find a job? I'm just curious. I am glad that is something we won't have to worry about since my hubby won't have any parole...thank god!...We don't plan on him working at all...our five kids and keeping the house in order is a full time job in itself...I am going to be so happy to finally have an extra set of hand and not have to have someone stay at the house or drag the kids to my parents with working night shift! Thanks for staying in touch and letting us know how things are going!

The PO has not given him a dead line to find a job but Don gave him a copy of every place that he has applied. You would think that with the $8000.00 grant or what ever it is that places get when they hire a felon that someone would hire him. Before you know it your 114 days will be 14 days then dang I guess I best get a place to stay the night before lol. When I look back at it it went by fast. A lot faster now that he is out it is hard to believe that it has been a month since he got out.
Hey, hey Mari! It's good to see you back on board ... even for a while. Don needs to spend morning 'til evening checking on a job. It's difficult, but he will get one. It's possible his PO could offer him a list of some places that will be happy to hire Don. Dedicated employees are not easy to find.
Glad to hear the PO is a nice fellow! From what I've heard from my son, the parole officers are generally willing to work with the parolee as long as the rules are followed and there is honesty. That's good to know! That has been his observance (no personal experience yet).

He leaves the house at 5:30 and is out all day looking for jobs. He is even going through Denver works. I know he will get a job just will take time.
Mari, great to see you! Tell Don I have both of you in my prayers!
You guys can make it work!
