I am sorry to hear you are going back. I hope this time goes quickly for you and that it's uneventful.

When my husband first went in he was at Bridgeport prior to transfering to Walker. He was held in medical for a while (suicide watch) and then moved to what I guess is maybe pretrial housing (if they have such a thing there). I recall him telling me the cell's had no electricity (when he moved from medical to the regular cell)--this may have simply been because he wasn't in "sentenced" housing. Also, that it was a very dirty place. He did have phone rights (once he was cleared from the medical unit) and rec. At the time I was able to drop a clothing package off to him (the prison had a schedule that I had to call to find out about) even though no one was yet on his visiting list. I don't know if they still offer that or not--this was 3 years ago.

I hope you will check back in with us when you are released so that we may know you made it out okay. Godspeed.

When my fiance was in Bridgeport CC prior to being extradited to florida, the people working there that both his mother and I spoke to seem to be nice. Alot better in Bridgeport than in florida jail. My fiance was in the medical area -his health was not the best and he needed to be medicated for high blood pressure. Other than that I do not know much else. I know that I was not allowed to visit because I was not related to him-married. So we only spoke on phone and by mail.

My experience is quite old, but that was a pretty quiet place, though rather cold.
