Anyone ever chat?

Does anyone ever use the chat room here? Everytime I come here its empty.... I would like to chat if anyone is interested. PM me. My fiance is serving 2-10 in Michigan.

Hey, I see your from South Boardman? How funny! I'm actually from Elk Rapids, right around the corner from you! Ha-Ha! I have a very good friend in Grafton Prison in Ohio. He'll be in there for another 10 years, may be. I've seen him twice and I'm planning a trip up there in December. I now live in Florida, so were a bit far inbetween. I don't think this is the chat room. I can't get into the chat room yet. I guess you have to have so many posts and time on PTO, who knows. You can PM me and we can chat that way.

I went to chat once, and they all ran away. I guess it's because I am a guy, or something. ... I don't have a wife or girlfriend in prison, or spouse, whatever. I am just a dad with a daughter in prison. How many dads, with daughters are on this site?

Please note this thread is NOT the actual chat room.

For the OP, there are people in chat at various times but mainly in the evening/night hours. You just have to keep checking to see in anyone is there. I'm sure you'll find someone there at some point.

Hi there. I used to chat 2 or 3 times a week. I made a friend who chatted all the time. I am way too old to chat, but I went because my friend asked me to. I met many girls and two guys I think who were funny, a little on the wild side and loving. I loved them. I went to chat to encourage them and to try and give them the advice of a woman who has been around the world a couple of times and maybe-just maybe has some answers. Then things went wrong.

I don't really know what. There was a lot of talk about broken rules, which I immediately apologized for, but apparently it was not me that was in trouble. One by one my new friends were banned and their accounts closed

so I could not encourage them to go by the rules. I have heard from them outside of PTO but were are a family here and I am very saddened that things could not be worked out. Where is grace and mercy at PTO? If we bite and devour each other then what will the world do to us? So, I said all of that to say, yes people do chat. It is fun to get to know them a bit better and talk in real time. I encourage you to go and try any way. You will find nice people there. Good luck. And for goodness sake--don't break the rules!!!

There are rules for the forums and for chat for obvious reasons. If we didn't have the rules, PTO would be very dysfunctional and wouldn't have laster for the many years it has. We can't allow people to just come to PTO and run amuck and ruin what David worked so hard to build. For a member to be banned he/she had to not be following the rules they AGREED to follow when they joined PTO, as we all have to do when we registered.

Chat can be an enjoyable time for one to have. We encourage fellowship with other members, just as we do on the boards, but we ask that everyone remember we are adults and should act like it.

I abide by the rules --always, well except for the speed limit and there I only cheat a little bit.

I have never even had a parking ticket. I respect everyone who has authority over me--including you. I reread the PTO rules before responding to this sharp reply to make sure I was allowed to disagree. I am still not sure. I would never expect or want anyone to allow anything abusive or a muck here, I am just sadden that the discipline was taken so far. I drew my conclusions after reading a few of the threads that are very sexual and not entirely necessary in my small opinion)should "they be allowed to masturbate?"

I am not sure of the answer to that one, but the discussion was allowed, not that opinion would change the permission one way or the other. And I do not question any moderator's authority either ben's girl. I am just disappointed--that is all. And I am sorry you took it personally. It was not meant to be. It was just what was and is on my heart. I am saddened by it but I will carry on-and I might even chat!!
