When my hubby was in on his 3rd DUI he recieved a 6 month flop in Dec after serving 2 years. He however was called before the board again 6 weeks later and was paroled in March !! It can happen !!
Did he have any major tickets? Just wondering what my guys chances are his sentences is 17 months to 10 years for dui 3rd offense. Hoping he gets out in the 17 months. He is also a B prefix though but never got in trouble last time he was in and I am sure he will not get tickets this time either.
No, he didn't have any major or minor tickets and he was a B prefix as well. Also he was a non violent. (DUI 3rd) Good Luck !!
Ahhh that doesn't sound good why would they folp him? I am trying not to get to stuck on him being home in 16 months. I will be so disapointed if he gets a flop. Just starting this rollercoaster ride. I hope I start to feel better soon.

If he continues to get majors I will be shocked if they don't MAX him. Only he can decide how badly he wants out and if he wants out he must follow the rules no matter how stupid he may think they are.
Okay iwiham1027 i will help you, i know how it is: A flop- is when they see the parole board, and they don't get parole. They will get 12 or 24 months "Supposely" before they can see the parole board again.*I said supposely b/c sometime they get called back early. AOP, is the assualtive offender program. It's a program that they are required to take. When they are in quarantine they are classified for this course. Sometimes, a lot of people have to take if even if their charges wasn't violent or they didn't assualt anyone. I don't know why. But, there have been some changes to AOP, so hopefully it will get better. And, no one knows for sure if you representing your son, will help. But, you never know. But, regardless continue to be hopeful. I hope everything works out for him.
Julie from Michigan, he's been at Egeler Reception and Guidance for eval for 1 week and I was told by CBS that my phone account that I set up was not a problem for my cell phone. His ERD is Dec 22 '09. With a Operating w/o license, causing injury.
My man saw the board the last week of september and got his decision back today. He got a 12 month flop. I need to know everything that I can do to get him out close to his ERD (april 27th 2010). PLEASE help with anything that I can do, anyone that I can call, anything!!! Please! His MAX is Jan. 2012... why would they flop him? Please help!
I can tell you first hand that there is NO reaosn sometimes for a flop. I was myslef given a 12 month flop and was in for a non violent crime, first offense, finished all my training and programs, had perfect work scores on my work reports, had a letter from a job saying I had it when out, had a great place to parole to.
They still called me a danger to society ?
I am not sure what he is in form however I would try for CRP which is basically tether. I did that and was released to it.
Prayers with ya both.

He got a parole - But a no contact order with his Representative HELP
I just got the news sent to me as the victim that my friend got a parole, one of the conditions is that he have no contact with me. I was the victim until I found out other information that proved to me he was not stalking me and what I say as harrassment was a call for help in his addiciton. I dropped the PPO immediately and informed the parole board by overnight mail and fax. They sent me a letter prior to his parole bd hearing for a response. I wrote them and told them i had dropped the PPO and did not belive that he was a threat to me or the safety of the public. I also told them I had overreacted and apologized to all this has caused great distress. His other charge was paraphalia. He went back on a Parole violation.
They accepted my statement. I was also approved for visitation and then came as a Representative at his parole Bd hearing in front of Dr King. Dr King never mentioned that I was the victim and when he asked me what my relation was to him I told Dr King I was his good friend (which I always will be). His mother and I visited with him the day of the pB interview.
Now it is a condition that he have no contact with me, I dont understand, could anyone help me with this, understand? I called the Victim Services and they told me to write a letter to Victims Services stating that I would request they remove the no contact order because I had been his representative at the interview and that it is not necessary because I do not have any problem with contact with him.
I really dont know if that is enough information or do I need to go back and reference the letters I sent in the past. I dont know if they saw the letters or if Dr King realized I was the one who had been the victim (so I had thought) I need some direction from someone who has been in this situation. PLEASE, I don't want to wait too long to respond, they are expecting my fax to their office. I NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS PLEASE!!!

More info. on his flop is as follows:
He saw John Sullivan & Stephan Deboer?
It says "history of probation failure" & "has a history of substance abuse "is of long standing duration" WHAT?!?!?! The only thing he has is MIP's from years ago! This is crazy.
Also I talked to someone at the parole board office and they told me that they flopped him because he wasnt in AOP yet. But now his counsler is saying that his score is so low (4) that he doesnt need AOP anymore?????? He thinks that he will get called back in a couple of months.
