I live about an hour away from where my fiance is at in FL and it usually takes my mail 1 day to get there if it is during the week-they don't get mail on weekends though. And for his letter to get to me it takes 1-3 days.

Right now we're only 1.5 hrs. away from each other and it's been taking only 2 days! That's really good considering when he was in county and it was taking 4-5 days!

2 days is the average for both of us, too.

I live in Massachusetts and it usually takes my letters to get to my friend 2-4 days depending on the mail system and sometimes his letters to me...anywhere from a day to 3 days since he's moved to Wakulla.
When he was at Century I used to get his mail ALOT faster in 1-2 days and same with mine to him.

i wish it was also faster at my side like 2 or 3 days.... but we gotta work with it though...
but it is annoying knowing that you write him and it takes more than a week to get to him....

My man is at CFRC since January 15th, and Ive been sending him mail like crazy...he hasnt been able to call how would I know if hes receiving my mail. I had been sending the mail to the address on the website. His mom received a letter from him and he told her you had to put Main Unit, dorm # quad # bunk, upper so it would get to him...isnt that a little much...anybody else putting all that on their letters?

Mail going through the reception centers is slow since there are so many guys there. Your mail will probably catch up to him all at once and he'll be bombarded with mail all in one day . He's asking you to do this to insure he gets his mail. No, it's not too much. I put my husband's dorm number and bunk number on his mail at his permanent facility just to be sure there aren't any delays in it getting to him.

If you are on his phone list he can call you from wherever he is. You can send mail to any facility he is transferred to. If he is moved before it gets to him it will be forwarded on to him for 30 days.
