Default Parole Freeze!!! I have a bit of info!!

I talked to my finace lastnight, he is in a treatment center and was supposed to be released last month, but due to this whole "freeze" he is still waiting and yes is a violent offender. But his PO was there yesteday and said that the person in charge of doing the review had 90 days to do so, and that things should be moving by January 5th. If anyone has heard anything on this let me know. Thanks

The PO goes over to the center everyweek, the past few weeks there has been no info except you just have to wait. But I guess a lot of the guys had their family members calling and taking up the PO's time on the phone. So he laid it out that Around January 5th things should start moving.

Thanks for sharing. That sounds like good news to me. Now hopefully nothing else will go wrong to delay things further.

Just because the report will be submitted does not mean anything will change quickly. Nothing in this system moves any faster than a tortoise!!!

Well it's true that a tortoise moves very slowly, but as long as it's not dead--we still have hope! lol

I have to agree with Elaine. I read the text of Rendell's letter to Goldkamp, and there was no mention of a time frame. While I hope the agent was speaking from an informed point of view, I won't put that date on a calendar in ink just yet.

Your right when the the whole freeze was put into place there was not timeline, but that was over a month ago and in the past few weeks I have not read anything on this hold. I assume since the PO does have more info then we do (which is not much) I rather cross my fingers and hope for the best. This hold cant last forever the prisons are already over crowded and more and more ppl are getting locked up on a daily basis. So lets hope and pray.
