Default Can't find a rule on banned members?

Is there any rule about discussing banned members? I don't care personally but I don't want to be breaking rules by accident? Also if this is a Rule/Policy can't it be posted so people are aware.

Since it would be negative comments, it's not allowed. But feel free to keep it in PM with whoever you want to discuss it with. Just not on the board please, there's no reason for it. Once they are gone, they are gone and we move on.

And thank you PTO for providing the "ignore" option! It certainly was a blessing the last few days.

After the support group I just pretty much left (account is active, but I'm ignoring it), I can only hope the "ignore" option on here works better than it did on there. I was able to hide their activity in the actual group, but still got notifications for what they posted, was able to see where things had been blocked, and was still on full display to them so they could continue to harass me while I tried to ignore them. Not my idea of blocking a user. Sad that anything like that would happen in a group full of people in our situation, but it unfortunately does, and for that I am thankful to have ways to remove their drama from my life.

The ignore function on here simply hides posts of people you donít want to see. They can still see what you post. Itís not a great system however the mods here do not allow harassment and are very good in shutting it down.

That's one of the drawbacks about being a mod - you can't put people on ignore.

Ohhhh 😱.....that bites!!!! I never thought about that!!! In my 13 years on here Iíve only put one or two on ignore. I typically roll my eyes and move on.

I was just wondering what one has to do/say/write to be "banned"?

Don't worry about it. Or better yet, go back and read the rules you agreed to when you joined. It gives a synopsis of how to behave, so if you do those things, you're good.

I have no problem ignoring posts/ people that I find annoying or less than useful. I know which posters opinions I value . Of course sometimes I wonder at some of the things that come up but then I remind myself some of the people on here are very young..most have a different life experience than I do and a small number are just " bat s##t crazy" and most are navigating a stressful situation. ! Whatever the case we only have to read the posts we are interested in and these are only opinions of people who have no real power over me so i guess I said all that to come to the conclusion that I dont need no ignore button because I have my own built into my brain!

I'm all for a controversial discussion and reading other peoples' opinions - sometimes that has helped me a lot. We are all humans and come with different (life-)experiences and backgrounds.
I won't accept discussions when it goes under the waistline and if it looses all etiquette. Most of us are in the same boat and can use all the support we can get.
I blend out the stuff that offends/aggravates/doesn't interest me.
