Call restriction and SHU

Does anyone know if an inmate is on call restriction, can they still make a phone call after 30 days in SHU???

Somehow I don't think so...if they've lost privileges, they've lost privileges for whatever time the BOP sets as their consequence. If I'm wrong, someone will correct me.

Welcome to PTO :)

I don't know, sorry. It could go either way,

Hi! Unfortunately, he will not be able to call you until he is off restriction. Until then mail is the only form of communication he will have. Sorry.

You can send him cards, letters and books, and try to keep his mind healthy while he is in the SHU, puzzlebooks also.

If you call, will they tell you if your inmate is in the shu? I'm sure it depends on who you talk to, but is it at least a possibility.

No, they will not tell you if the person is in SHU. ALL they will tell you is that the inmate is or is not at that facility.

Another question... if someone loses phone/email/commissary priveledges, do they also typically lose video visits?
