I just got word there is a State wide Lockdown for all Prison Facilities! Some Security thing the Prison told me last time this happened it was 9-11 so does anyone have any more information? This is pretty scarry?

I was off today but had a friend from work call. Apparently there is information that there may be more assaults on staff planned statewide.

That is all I know right now.

Is this lockdown state prisons only or has it effected federal as well?

I just called the visiting 800 number for all CA Prisons and I checked CSP Solano and everything seems to be a go for this weekends visits. It was last updated on Friday at 10am though. It says on the recording that it will only be updated if lockdown changes. So as of today Solano is ok to visit for most inmates. If you would like the number for Visiting info let me know I will give it to you. Hope everyone gets to visit there loved ones this weekend.

Well, I would still check into this again before you go because the stabbing happened yesterday, so if the last update was done on friday, the lockdown hadn't even happened yet. I read the news article and all 32 CA prisons are in fact on lockdown. I really hope they do get off lockdown by the weekend though, because I REALLY wanna see my baby this weekend!!!! I haven't seen him since X-mas and if I don't get to go this weekend, I won't get to see him again until he gets released at the end of the month!!!!!!

I have not seen him since Christmas weekend because he would not let us drive down on New Years Weekend because he was afraid of us driving with drunk drivers on the road then we were going to go last weekend but he would not allow us to because of the storms. I really wanted to see him this weekend but it looks like that will not be happening.

Does anyone know how long these generally last?

I think I am going to call Ironwood and see.

Ohhh!! PLEASE let me know what you find out!! My honey is also up in Ironwood and I also haven't seen him since Xmas!!!! I miss his SOOOO MUCH!!!! I hope they get off by the weekend!!!!! I just wanna see him!!!!!

I called the visitor information line and it still was saying normal visiting but then I called the prison CMF Vacaville and the prison is on LOCKDOWN till further notice. It is best to call the prison. I thought I better check before I drove 4 hours to see my son.

I just spoke with a friendly person at the Sierra Conservation Center that informed me the lockdown was to be lifted tomorrow. I like it when they volunteer good information. I had inquired because I have package that was due to be delivered and I didn't want it turned away.

I just want to add that although CO's are not everyones favorite people this guy had a wife and kids and was known to be nice to inmates (according to the LA Times) so I would like to send my sympathies to his wife, children and family for their loss. May he rest in peace.

I agree with you Csmcgrl23, my prayers go out to the CO's family. :( I feel so bad for the guy and his family, especially his children.

I just called CMC (East Facility) and I was told that they are still on lockdown. The lockdown should be lifted soon and it will not affect visiting this weekend at CMC. :thumbsup:

LOL!!!! Yeah, I know... maybe I'm just being a little selfish with him!!! I'm just SOOO used to seeing him every other weekend that I'm not feeling like I'm going nuts because I haven't seen him!!!! It's kinda weird... like he's my drug and I need my "fix" every so often or else I lose it!!!!!! Honey, in a couple of weeks it will no longer be a visit... I'll wake up every morning in his arms, and go to sleep every night in those same loving arms!!!!!! Damn, I'm so in love with him, it's almost pathetic :D !!!!!!! It's all good though, ain;t nothing wrong wqith loving him too much... actually, I think there's no such thing as loving him TOO MUCH!!!!!! I also hope the lockdown is lifted ASAP, so I can get my "honey fix" and hopefully be content until he does come home... in 18 days :D !!!!!!!!

My heart does go out to this man, his family and friends. This is a terrible tragedy and no one deserves to go through something like this. When will people stop hurting and start loving??? I Was Wondering Why My Man Hasnt Called In A Few Days. I Had Been So Worried. Finally I Talked To My Cousin Whos In New Folsom Last Night And He Told Me All California Prisons Were On Lockdown Because A Guard Got Killed In Chino. As Of Wednesday The Lockdown Is Supposed To Be Over, So Hopefully Phone Calls And Visiting Is Back To Normal.

Has anyone heard from their mens???? I'm just wondering if anyone knows about the lockdown status or not. Are they still on Lock or are they off now?? Please let me know if any of you have any info!! Thanks and God bless you all!! :D

Well Hello. In case you haven't heard yet someone got killed here yesterday. I don't know much about it, just that it didn't happen on this yard. However they have us locked down real tight. No meals, yard, dayroom.
Hell we don't even get showers right now. I think it was a CO that got hit, but I don't know for sure.

Besides my body funk, no food, and boredom I am fine.

I don't know how long they plan on keeping us locked down, but I will call as soon as I can. We haven't been recieving any mail this week because of the lock down would be my guess. Hopefully things will change in the next couple of days and we will return to the normal program.
